Travel and accommodation is not included in your Summit ticket, but the Summit venue is conveniently located close to hotels and within 10 minutes of the CBD.

The PeSA Summit 08 is being held at Flemington – The Event Centre. This is part of Flemington Racecource, Epsom Rd, Flemington. This is located 8 km from the CBD and 6km from Melbourne’s Docklands. There are ample accommodation options for those travelling from out of town to the Summit. Please note: Accommodation and travel are not included in your Summit ticket.

Summit Venue

The PeSA Spring 08 Summit will be held in the Hillstand of the main Grandstand (up near the Taberet) of the Flemington Racecource. Access to the venue is via Epsom Rd, which can be accessed off City Link via the Racecourse Rd exit.

Free parking is provided for the Melbourne event. Flemington is only 10 minutes drive from the CBD and 15 minutes from Melbourne Airport with 6,000 car parking spaces. Please enter via the main grandstand entrance. There will be signage directing you where to go. Free parking is available in the P1 carpark.

With acres of immaculately manicured lawns, an unparalleled view of the Melbourne skyline and one of the most famous rose gardens in the world, the magnificent Event Centre offers an unique blend of historic atmosphere with contemporary venues.

The venue is also accessible by tram from the CBD, although not directly. It will be around a 10 minute walk from the nearest stop. A taxi is the advisable option.

Accomodation
PeSA recommends the Quest Flemington (4.5 stars), located adjacent to the racecourse and is a short 10 minute walk to the conference. 1, 2 and 3 bedroom Executive Serviced Apartments located within a peaceful garden setting, with easy public access to the city, close to cultural centres, sporting and entertainment venues.

Apartments are stylish and modern, with full kitchen and laundry facilities, separate dining and lounge areas, balcony, 24 hours Foxtel and in-house movies. High Speed Broadband Internet access from all rooms.
